The friends behind the letters

Our names are Sherah and Joy. We've known each other since birth, by merit of growing up in nearby Chicago suburbs and sharing mutual relatives. We didn't see each other terribly often while growing up, but when we did, the conversation was easy enough and usually veered toward faith and books.

When Joy moved to the other side of the world, we started this writing project as a sort of juxtaposition. Joy in the tropics and Sherah in the burbs. Joy going to sleep as Sherah woke up. Two lives that couldn't look more different, right? And wrong.

Because regardless of our time-zone separation, we wrestle with the same tensions of life: faith and doubt, hope and discouragement, courage and fear, books and laundry. What started as a juxtaposition has turned into a conversation.
